Shared Budgets

Budgetwise includes shared budgets at no extra cost. Invite your partner, spouse, or family members and everyone sees the same numbers.

How It Works

A shared budget means everyone with access sees:

  • The same account balances
  • The same category budgets and spending
  • The same transactions

When one person records a transaction or assigns money, everyone sees it immediately.

Inviting Members

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Members
  3. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite
  4. They’ll receive an email with a link to join

Why This Matters

Couples fighting about money is often a visibility problem, not a spending problem. When both people see the same numbers:

  • No more “I didn’t know you bought that”
  • Both partners can check what’s available before spending
  • Budget conversations happen around facts, not feelings

Not a Premium Feature

Some budgeting apps charge extra for shared access. Budgetwise includes it in the base plan because shared finances shouldn’t be a luxury.
