Your bank app shows you a number. But it doesn’t tell you how much of it is already spoken for — rent is due next week, the credit card bill is sitting there, groceries still need to happen. You see $2,000 in checking and think you can spend it. You can’t.

Budgetwise is a map of your money. It puts all your accounts in one place and shows you what you can actually spend — not what’s in the bank, but what’s available after everything that’s already committed.

We built it because most budgeting tools either show you where money went after you already spent it, or they’re so complicated you give up after two weeks. Budgetwise sits in between — clear enough to use every day, honest enough to trust.

What’s in the beta

  • Every dollar gets a job. Income comes in, you decide where it goes. When a category is empty, you’re done spending there or you move money from somewhere else.
  • Credit cards tell the truth. When you charge something to a credit card, that money is committed immediately. Your budget reflects it right away, not when the bill comes.
  • Shared budgets included. Invite your partner or family. Everyone sees the same numbers. Not a premium feature.
  • Import your statements. Bring in your bank and credit card CSVs. Duplicates are caught automatically.
  • Recurring transactions run themselves. Set up rent, subscriptions, or loan payments once. They’re created on schedule.

What’s coming next

  • Mobile app (work in progress)
  • Transaction rules for auto-categorization
  • Reporting and spending trends
